Stylish, Simple, and Cartoonish Head Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 600×500 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white. Now select the Pen Tool and select Paths on top. In a new layer trace out the shape shown below and fill path with #FFCF9C color shade.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to the head shape layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer create the black hair shown below on the head.

Step 4:

Now draw a 1px black line for the mouth and bend it through Filter > Distort. Then in a new layer draw a 1px black line on the nose as shown below, set the layer's opacity level to 13%.

Step 5:

In a new layer draw a small white ellipse for the right eye. Then draw a small black circle on the white circle.

Step 6:

Add the left eye which is slightly bigger than the right eye.

Step 7:

Select the Custom Shape Tool and select the circle thin frame shape. In a new layer draw different sizes of circle thin frame with #BC8C58 color shade on the back of the head.
