Futuristic Hosting Rack Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 300×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white color. Now make a new layer set and name it 'Hosting Rack'.

In a new layer draw a small black ellipse with 48×16 px dimensions. Then in a new layer draw a gray ellipse with #DDDDDD color shade and 66 x 53 px dimensions on top of the black ellipse.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your gray ellipse layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer draw a small white ellipse with 44×5 px dimensions.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to the small white ellipse layer.

Step 5:

Duplicate the small white ellipse layer design twice and resize/position them as shown below.

Step 6:

In a new layer draw a small black circle with 5 x 5 px dimensions. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Stroke blending option then set the layer's opacity level to 45%.

Step 7:

Using the small circle design from the last step create the pattern below.

Step 8:

Merge down your 'Hosting Rack' layer set through Layer > Merge Layer Set. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options.

Step 9:

For a variety of futuristic hosting racks, duplicate the 'Hosting Rack' layer from step 8 and merge it with a blank new layer. Then use the scale setting under Edit > Transform to resize the side of the original hosting rack.

Step 10:

Create a new layer set and name it 'Extended Detail'. Now In a new layer draw a small dark gray ellipse with #252525 color shade and 28x12 px dimensions on top of one of your new hosting rack design. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options.

Step 11:

In a new layer draw a small white ellipse with on top of the dark gray ellipse design. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.
